Let's Preserve It

Let’s Preserve It, is a charity event organised by The Laird’s Larder to be held within Houghton Hall Garden Centre on Sunday 26th October 2008.

All proceeds this year are to be donated to Eden Valley Children’s Hospice.

Let’s Preserve It is running a competition open to anyone living in Cumbria, to make a preserve, jam, jelly, curd, chutney, relish any homemade creation!
Judges will be Annette Gibbons, Christian Dymond, and Mark Whitehead.

Winner will be announced at 2.00pm on that day

The Winning entrant must be willing to divulge the recipe to Local Producer Mark Whitehead from the Hawkshead Relish Company.

This will then be made into an actual product bearing the name of the winner and sold throughout Cumbria – 20p from each sale will be donated to The Eden Valley Children’s Hospice for 1 year. In order to help all the wonderful people preserving this beautiful place.

A Charity auction will then follow at 3.30pm prompt.
